Useful information for patients
Please see below for links to other websites that Mark has carefully selected to support your own research and decision-making.
Feedback is important for patients and for surgeons. The British Spine Registry is a web-based database for the collection of information about spinal surgery in the UK. The British Association of Spinal Surgeons encourages all surgeons to collect data to ensure good practice.
Mark asks that you consent to this valuable data collection and register on the British Spine Registry patient portal if you are undergoing any intervention under his care.
The British Association of Spine Surgeons (BASS) actively promotes the study of spinal disorders with particular attention to the surgical treatment of spinal disease and disorders.
BASS provides a wealth of information for patients. Please see the links below to relevant booklets on topics Mark has already discussed on this website.
The American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) is a scientific and educational association with more than 12,000 members worldwide.
The AANS advances the specialty of neurological surgery through education, research, advocacy, and outcomes science to promote the highest quality of patient care.
Developed by neurosurgeons, this resource provides patients and their families trustworthy information on a wide range of neurosurgical conditions and diseases. Learn about disease and injury risk factors, symptoms, diagnosis and both surgical and nonsurgical treatment options.
